This question focuses us on another. Why do I write? Actually, I have enjoyed writing for more than fifty years. Sometimes though, I feel more like the person who said they did not like writing as much as they liked having written.
So the answer to that one, is that I like to write. I like to have written. I have spent my life often doing things I don’t like just to make a living and only dreaming about doing what I want to do, and making a living at that.
Well, what do I write? Primarily, I write non-fiction, mostly about real estate, which is what I have been spending most of my time with. Sometimes I try non-fiction about other topics because I just feel comfortable in the shallow water of being as good as the research I do about a subject. I have reached out toward fiction occasionally, but only occasionally.
Who are my readers and the readers of this website? Primarily they are the peeps who have read my books about real estate. I would like to gather us into a community of sorts. I would like them to know about subsequent books and projects.
As, and if, I get further into fiction, I would love to be able to tell/warn my community.
Why do I write on this website? I do not for a minute think I will ever have fans. I will not look for admirers. I believe and accept that the best I can hope for is a group of people who know who I am and are not revolted by my writings.
What I may include are some back stage or behind the curtains stories. I may comment on other books or authors. I may review something from time to time. I may list things I want to do. I may work with personal growth or personal organization sometimes.
What I will try not to include are political or contentious topics, although I am a political and contentious person by nature. I won’t include real estate or sales type info. I won’t list gripes and things I feel sorry for myself about.
What I would love is your feedback. I would love to know what things you would like to read. Even if you are full of crap. There is no law against being full of crap, so go ahead and have at it.
So what is my mission and that of this article/website? My mission is to entertain you, help you remember who I am, and maybe get you involved in some way. We may have a bit of a trip together.
