Friday Struggle Bus, week 39

Is this lady smiling because she has a couple of outstanding warrants in Ohio, and the police can’t get the bus to pull over, and they are just about to cross into Indiana?

The Struggle for Answers

And to Bob, from Columbus, no, not EVERYBODY is experiencing a struggle right now, thus currently making us appear wildly insensitive.

Some people have what is called a committee consciousness where we are advised by different voices to think in occasionally conflicting manners.

We, who are like that, all generally vote on important decisions, and I’ve got to say, though a couple of my imaginary friends are really off the wall, bat-crap goofy, in a mental democracy, there are only struggles that are more of a privilege than those in a dictatorship.

Does that answer your question, Bob?

The Struggle for Beauty

Our efforts and perseverance have paid off well this week, and all though I am still no Tom Cruise stand-in, I am satisfied with my present haircut, so that is one fewer problem this week.

Mr. Beard’s a little iffy, but the hair is being quiet right now.

The Struggle for Services

I have possibly found a solution for poor customer service this week. I did not go anywhere, ask anyone for anything, or expect anything. I was not disappointed.

Well, except for twice.

Once, my wife gave someone a check drawn on an account she has at a particular bank. The payee cashed the check in person, and was given the money, but the teller withdrew the money from a different account my wife had, though the account number is printed on the check. This person at the bank had to go way out of the way to give poor service.

And the other time, I settled down to watch my home team play football, but that game was unavailable in my town. The only thing on was some team from Ohio. Rah, squad!

The Struggle to Write.

Since the words all but fly out of my fertile brain on a fairly constant basis, this struggle is never really much of a factor here. Yes, sometimes the printer runs out of ink or paper, but I imagine that happens for others too.

We powerful, big-time writers have people who take care of that stuff.
