Traditional, long lengths wasted his time until it led him to this discovery. Based on the FOUR PILLARS he shares here.

My Personal Four Pillars.

I like to think of myself as an author.

But I am an author who works best with a schedule and a plan. It just works better for me.

And I don’t pretend to know it all, but I have learned a few things that work for me which I am sharing with you.

My four pillars are…

  1. Short articles
  2. Short stories
  3. Microbooks
  4. Fun.

I get more projects completed with these concepts than I ever could with different concepts.

So let’s start with the last one, fun. If I don’t have fun doing something, I get bored. my efficiency goes south and I mentally just move on.

Short articles usually involve Medium. I can earn money with my writing on Medium and I can direct readers toward other projects I am doing. The true definition of a Medium short form is fewer than 150 words. So it’s very short. But if that’s too hard,, you can fudge if you need to. It’s your world. I like to write a bit each day. Tomorrow, I’ll explain my writing schedule, but today I am already over 250 words.

Short stories are fiction pieces. I can make money with them on Medium and some other free-standing places. AND they can direct eyeballs, too.

Microbooks are a brave new world. Readers don’t have to wade through long books. They say what needs to be said. Get in. Get out. Move on. No fat on this pot roast.
