I live in Nashville, TN.  I have been married to Peggy for 46 years, and we have two wonderful daughters who each have two marvelous children.

 

I am crazy for music, art, and jokes,  (right-brain stuff…)  I have written a couple of books, played a couple of instruments, drawn a couple of pictures, and made a couple of people laugh and made some grind their teeth.

 

I used to love sports.  I do not split infinitives. My after-shave smells like vegetables cooking at the Waffle House.

 

 

It is my idea that this website should not just be a website to sell my books, but also a site about me and the things I have learned and discovered that may be useful or enjoyable to my peeps and readers.

I have been blessed by working in a field that I enjoy all my life, for which I am grateful, but there were many times I was bored, too.  And there were always times I dreamed of being a writer.

I mean being a writer who made money at writing, maybe eventually enough money to live on.

I had done some writing in school and enjoyed it, but when I got out of school, I had to move into the real world.  And, sure, sometimes writing can be boring, but nothing like this was!

So, I went to work.  Years passed.  Decades did, too.  Then I was able to try writing again, and it all came back to me.  Somebody had left the gate open!

I realize that more than 90% of the people in this country secretly dream of writing a book, never discovering that it’s easier than they think.

I have started to learn about how to write – and I am going to share it with you.

I have started to figure out a little bit about how to be a writer – that’s different.

I learned a bit about how to act like a writer.  All this stuff is important, and I’m going to share them with you.  I hope it helpful and enjoyable to you- of not, I guess just don’t read it.  I hope you do, though.

This is not going to be a writing COURSE, though. There is another place for that. Here we’ll have some about writing and some about me.
